Looking at harbor freight catalog. They only recently introduced the Hercules house brand and the boxes say “legendary performance” and “heavy duty guaranteed” on them. Made this fellow for a couple of good friends of mine. All reused scrap. Part of a bike frame, old nails and bolts, and sheet metal from an old 55 gallon drum.

I was recently given some tig filler rod marked Chronatig 211T
The guy I got I from says it for welding cast iron but I haven't found anything online about the stuff.
Can any of you fine folks enlighten me a bit? Thanks.

A little more info. This stuff is very magnetic and will not cut with a torch.

So I recently acquired this beauty. I haven't had a chance to do a spark test yet but I'm fairly certain it's cast iron. I love doing Buckets lol I've found that shop air and lots of pounding on the plates with a good Hammer helps but it needs to be dry If not it just makes more mud. in the wet case I will usually warm up the repair area first with the old Rosebud then the air and BFH ( BIG FAT HAMMER ) Hope it helps...

Welcome. Good to see a fellow heavy equipment mechanic/welder.

We may have even crossed paths and not known it. I've been to several classes in Vegas on paver repairs and crusher maintenance.
