Well ... I just saw another reference to disconnecting the battery and grounding tig as close to the weld as possible. So, I'm going to try that.

I want to put a custom seat on a kawasaki and it just requires a couple of small brackets welded to the frame rail. If it was a bare frame - no big deal. It would take 2 minutes. But, the bike is all together and running. I read several opinions and there were recommendations on tig/mig/gas/brazing....

You probably heard that relating to gas welding. Tank size makes a difference with acetylene. A small tanks cannot maintain the higher flow rate of a larger tank.
