I'd buy these and cut them down. I own a pair of these for my zip miter band saw, inexpensive for what you get, super easy to adjust the height on these and heavy duty. My local industrial supply had them in stock no shipping.

I would look into using a scroll saw, not sure if they make a blade for aluminum but you can cut insanely curved shapes. That red coating is part of the 'bright finish' process I'm guessing. Bright finish aluminum tubing does NOT weld by the way, had to grind it off aggressively.
