If you intend to weld ally you will need at least a 200amp machine... your budget will just cover that including a bottle of gas. What ever you do dont be fooled by the cheaper Chinese machines, here in oz this will leave you with brands like token tools and Everlast... Unimig newer models. CIG and ...

Welcome to the forum Stevo... another crow eater that makes 3 of us :D What kind of budget are you wanting to spend on a machine? A half decent machine set up for aluminum(up to 6mm max) with all the bits needed to get started will start from about $3k(200amp machine/watercooler plus consumables)her...

Helped out a mate the other day, poor bugger was cruising along the hyway and ran over a centre punch of all things... Went through the tyre and punched a neat hole in his near new 20" alloy rim! The hole was about 6mm(1/4")in dia http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v725/ST170ish/20160318_12...

I have three words for you: Miller Cool Band. They are available in two varieties; belt filter, and back of the head filter. They aren't cheap, but you'll like them. I use a hair dryer to warm the helmet first if the weather is cold. I have seen these before but unfortunately like I mentioned I hav...
