Hi All- Long time lurker here. I've been dipping in and out of welding for about 15 years now, I also do a lot of woodwork. I usually do custom fabrication of one sort or another, no two jobs are the same (which is a great way to keep it interesting... and make sure I don't ever make too much money...

Sorry to resurrect this old thread , but no one seems to have a physical idea of why helium seems to cause less warpage in a weld then argon does. To make it easy, have a look at the other side of that weld, and you will see that there are just two plates standing one on the other. That is not what you want. 3M 5200 Marine adhesive. Bullet Proof. Just make sure to get the "fast cure".
Yup nothing sticks better. I use that stuff a lot. Sikaflex make a similar product but I forgot the number of it.
