I used to work for a tight tolerance sheet metal fabrication shop and the two most widely used brands in that shop were Amadas and Cincinatties. The operators always fought over the Amadas. I am not a brake operator so that is the only info I can give you.

Silicon Bronze is actually considered a braze welding process because (when done correctly) the parent material is never actually melted.
