We would most likely do water jet if it were needed to be more precise however found that on some jobs it's nice to be able to remove small sections with ease and make it look cleaner also I have a way to use it on board ships bit if we need it to be prefabricated and needs to be precise then we wat...

So now I need a Plasma Ideas on what to get for the shop at work I will need to be able to cut at least 2" plate and some exotic metals like Inconel and stainless as well as carbon steel

the job went well once I used yalls tips and made sure I grooved it out and drilled a hole at either end and welded it in small sections and she is up and running thx

new question in regards to welding equipment anyone have a contact to good prices and knoledgable staff for on welding equipment for carry on to a ship doing a lot of repairs on pie while out to sea. I need connector and power convertors and a machine to carry on board

Thanks very much for all the tips and as far as the facebook guy goes well he can do whatever he wants as long as im the one who get to fix it later and no one gets hurt lol. because then I will ask first and I will be confident in the repair .

Thx for the feedback, the generator portion is also to run a compressor and other tools as well. thx I went ahead and bought a factory refurbished one and still had a good warranty.

Stick welding Cast Iron Engine parts

So anyone out here have experience welding on cast Iron diesel engine parts, more specifically diesel engines for large ships. I have to weld some cracked parts and just don't want to miss anything.

Thx all I Just got back in from Miami I think I will be with these guys for a while they like my work and have already requested my help on a big job in San Francisco CA. I'm Looking forward to joining up with the Miami Crew again for such a big job. I will tell yall about it when I get back.
