Ok. I got 125ft of 10/4. Made myself 100ft and a 25ft extension. Runs great!

220 extension cord
I'd like to make an extension cord for my welder. I was told that I couldn't make an extension bigger than 4ft. What the longest I can make a 220 extension? I need about 75-100ft.

Re: New to mig weld
I have both power supplies available. Hobby at the moment. Make some money. But don't survive off welding. Not yet at least. 200 amps should be enough for me. I was looking at the Lincoln 210 mp.

New to mig weld
Learned how stick weld first. Now looking into a mig welder to learn the process. I don't have anything specific to use it for, but I'd like to have one around to use on future projects. Questions: What is a mig welder mainly used for? I have the impression that mig welding is for thin material. Wha...

Re: Help me pick stick welder
I recently purchased an Everlast 200st. Little box is a beast. I'm a starter just like you. Welder cost me $375. Does 200 amp Oma 240 connection. Also does the 120 connection as well. Done three BBQ pits with her and she rocks! http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09/13/951bfb18b4165114bec4978b5db71205...

BBQ Pit Fabrication question.
When welding legs to a BBQ pit. What method do you all use to get them aligned correctly. Im a beginner and would like some insight on this topic. I don't have pipe stands or a hoist at the moment. Im working off the floor. I am current using square tubing cut at 45 degree then welded to the casing....

Re: First Timer
First timer is correct. Thanks for the replies. How many amps are you running the 3/32 7018 rods? 1/8 7018? I went back and ran them at about the recommended amps and what a difference. I noticed that the 3/32 6011 ran good on the regular setup as well. At the moment all I'm doing is burning rods si...

First Timer
New to welding. I have a Powerarc 200ST. I was practicing yesterday. I ran some lincoln e6011 3/32 and e7014 3/32. The 6011 rods would burn really fast and would turn off on me. Couple of time the rods stuck and turn red really quick. I was running about 80 amps. The 7014 rods i had trouble keeping ...
