Being so thin and corroded the area around the hole has a good chance of just opening up with any MIG or TIG arc, since this is a one of a kind live or die situation I'd probably not try welding JMO

I recently bought a used Miller TIG machine with a cooler, cleaned it out and will use Weldcote coolant I got at my LWS for $22 per gallon.

Think about it like this, peak time will hit the weld with the amps set on the machine (assumes a full pedal press) the background will drop back to the given % you have set. No doubt the Dynabrade air tools are great, the last shop I worked at had them. That belt sander tool is great, but there are electric versions and other brands available

I'm almost certain he doesn't use that, on one of his podcasts at least a year or more ago he said he was using (if I remember correctly) a sony video cam, but I think he has also got a new one since then.

It's called a "third hand", used for holding small parts in place while tacking or welding. The weight on the back provides a gravity assist
