Acetylene withdrawal rate

So I've started a new job in a big fabrication factory and there's quite a lot of Oxy acetylene rigs all over. I've not had much experience with o/a but I'm confused with the withdrawal rate rules.... We only use the rigs for cutting and they are the biggest cylinders you can get here (320cf) I've b...

I do heavyer materials too but not as much and it's normally in flat position. I do alot of out of position welding on thin gauge work so getting it right on thicker first ...

3F vertical up issues

Hi guys, I'm still having some problems with vertical up mig. I use the right techniques (upsidown V) reduce power by 15-20%. The weld pool starts to undercut and crowning about a 3rd of the way up. If I turn it down anymore I feel there's gonna be lack of penetration. It's a bit hit and miss I have...

Bevel your flats and weld butt joins and mabe finish with outside corner? That's how I would tackle it. A good butt join is just as strong as a fillet!
