Re: My secret to productivity
Gotta give him a break on his filler. I didn't let him use my auto dark helmet so he's at some small disadvantage. Haven't found his size yet on the jacket and gloves. Haha

Weld monger tools site?
Anyone know the status of the weldmonger tools website? I bought some gloves when it was up and running and thought it was a cool site. I'm hoping to see it again soon. Just curious.

Must've been an ambush in my sleep. I never felt it. Or it was one HUGE spider and I have two fang marks on the side of my face. ![Shocked ](./images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)

Spider bite
Maybe just common sense but make sure if you leave your welding helmet in a building outside your house or a shop, check it for spiders before putting it on. I'm at the doctors now about to get checked for three bites. Not sure it was in my helmet but it seems like a probable place. These bites are ...

Re: Whats in your shop?
Most of the places I e worked used either Lincoln or Miller but the place I'm at now uses Esab. I've not found too many major problems with any of them. Some of the machines were old models too and worked fine.

All Lincoln. Eat that! Haha!
Just kidding. I've only got two machines and one of them is a Lincoln 225 tombstone that everyone probably has one of. The other is a 210 MP. Love it!

Re: New gear??
Right now I mig weld on production pay and I know I won't be able to do this forever so I do need a backup plan. The side work so far has been a lot of friends and family but actually paying ones. Mostly family or friends that are in business and needed something welded. I'm trying not to get too sp...

We'll I'm 35 now with two kids. 11 and 6. My wife homeschools and my income is all we live on. That said I've already hit the tight wad stage. Haha. You guys do have some good ideas on how to save $$ though. That's now where I'm finding myself is in the thinking of "hey, I can save money"....

Re: New gear??
I just have a little side hustle going but sometimes I take on a few hundred dollar in material cost project. It is nice to not have to borrow the money to fund a job. You know when you're in the middle of a job and you say "man I wish I had a ....)? That's probably when I could use it. Thanks ...

Re: New gear??
True Pete. Never have had too much cash. I'm not a long time tig welder and I was thinking about a Hypertherm with the built in compressor since I don't have a big compressor already. I'm getting by with what I have and maybe that'll do for now. Just looking for some ideas I guess. I do fab work and...

So I've put back a little over a grande on the side job stuff and don't know what to invest in. Kind of a weird question to involve everyone in but what would you guys do? I'm using a Lincoln 210 MP and a Kohler 7500 watt generator. I've got the tig and spool gun set up. Also have a cheap horizontal...

Re: Sportster Bobber Project
I turned down a rail job the other day because the guy didn't have the money to build new but wanted me to patch up the old ones that were from the 50's and a tree had fallen on them. Rusted and painted with a paintbrush. I just had other stuff to do than to do that and get penny pincher to where I ...

Funny, I just posted the same scenario about my Lincoln 210 MP. I upgraded to a 7500 watt from a 5000watt generator. Good for us ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

So today I upgraded to the 7.5 model as oppose to the 5.0 I had. They maxed the welder out and the 7.5 didn't flinch so I'm glad to have it now.

Using my inverter on a generator
I learned something the past few weeks about using my Lincoln 210 MP off of my Kohler 5.0 generator. It'll handle the load after the arc is going but when you start the arc at more than 21.0 volts it pulls the generator down so hard it cuts the welder off. I bought the machine on the recommendation ...

Re: Opinion on Multi-Process Welder
I have the Lincoln too and it's been great. I dont think I could ask more of it. Everlast has good reviews though. If the price isn't much different and much of a factor I can vouch for Lincoln. Nothing against the Everlast though. Actually thought about getting an Everlast tig machine myself for AC...
