Re: TIG brazing repair to an espresso boiler

I'd just use Silver solder its what the steam engine builders use for there boilers. Will you have to presure test it to check the system?

Re: 220 volts from two 110 volt extension cords ?

I've done something like that for a compressor till I got a proper breaker. I just used two adjacent breakers and put a cut off nail through the lever to trip them both although only one may blow it is much better to ger the proper one.

I'd be wary of the center of g being about 3" from the rear, when it is 5 - 6 feet tall it doesn't take much to pass the center of g.

My personal experience--Evolution 380 14in saw. Used an abrasive for years and had no idea how horrible it was until I got the Evolution!! A few moments of setup and you can make very accurate cuts consistently. No dust just chips that don't go far. If you are carefull the supplied blade gives excel...

Re: Tungsten sharpener from eBay

By the look of the picture it has just enough to grind it. I'm not sure if the grinding marks being on a angle would be good or affect the arc. For being a 3d printed part it could have been designed better, better placement to the disc and grinding angles.

Re: Beer Keg Casting Furnace

Nice looking casting well done! Did you build the 3d model with a draft on the edges? I have also heard of smoothing the printed object with acetone vapour I've never tryed it though. The main thing with 3d printing is how big of a build area you have to work with alot of the times wood is easyer.

Looks good! If you want to control the gas flow get a regulator or use the ball valve but I wouldn't change it until seeing how it runs in the furnace.

The jaws are numbered to each slot otherwise the chuck will not close properly!
Have you checked the theads / cam lock for chips that would affect it?

Looks good! I've heard of drilling and tapping the tooth for a set screw to increase the strenth of the tooth.
It looks like we have the same gear damage.
