Tried doing a search on google, but I'm not finding much as none of my searches show max input amperage. I live in the US and I have two options for running an ARC welder... 110v and 220v at 30 amp's... I'd prefer the 220v but it limits the area and requires more safety measures.. as for what I plan...

I noticed while doing some SMAW in class that my eyes tend to wander and, despite trying to focus, I eventually wind up looking at the inside of my helmet.

Does anyone know of a shroud or some kind of "gasket" I could use to reduce/eliminate the light polution from overhead lights?
