yea it was not a pretty weld especially the bottom flux would drip on tungston. I would say that was one of the worst welds I ever made lol

I would like to see a good comparison of the two. I think it would be an interesting video for those that work in the field and can't always have a purge bottle with them. where I work we only use 316 sugaring is a big NO NO 304 &308 is a no no the acid will eat it up

flux coated tig

Have you ever tried flux coated ss tig 316 wire? I tried it had no way to purge where I was welding 1" ss pipe sch10. man this stuff was hard to use. still got some sugaring flux would jump right to your tunston!!! it was messy. any advice on this would be of great help. thanks William

hi all from tn. originaly from sc. been watching Jodies vids. for a while now. been told my free hand looks as good as alot of cup walkers just cant seem to get the hang of cup walking but i try it alot. oh I'm 57 yrs. old. might get by the time i retire :lol: yeah right
