Bobcat question.
So, I have a Bobcat 250. It has, maybe 30 hours use. I’ve not really used it this year. I hurt my back lifting something. I went to let it run yesterday. It says the gas is full. Yet, when I look at the tank, I see nothing in it from the side. But, I went to turn it on and had no luck. First, it mad...

Re: Roll bender
I just ordered a JET SR-2236 36 inch Slip Roll. The thing is expensive and huge. haha But, it will allow me to work with bar as well as sheets. I wonder, can I get different sized link rods? That would allow me to bend sizes other than that with which I can as it comes. I am going to do a setup vide...

Re: Roll bender
Thanks for the information.
I like those. They are small.
I am going to try a few things first. haha
I have to get some washers, so the freaking rollers don't move all over the place.

Re: Roll bender
That is true. However, I watched a video with Kevin C on youtube. He rolled something, took it out, welded the two ends and them put it back in the machine and rolled again. Thus, making a perfect circle. But, that thing costs thousands of dollars. haha

Roll bender
Could anyone recommend, a good roll bender? I want to make a cannon of sorts. I had round bar. I got 80 3/8 thick, 8 foot long bars and 80 of a thicker size. I tried using a cheap Harbor Freight tube bender. I mean, it did bend. But, since the thing moves that holds the metal, it was uneven. Also, t...

Re: Welding classes.
So, I have been doing the aluminum metallurgy class. As I said, it has been a long time since I have had to learn stuff like that. haha I would watch a few videos a day from the class, which, was only like 32 minutes. I did the quiz and got 50.00. I kind of felt like a harses oars. haha But, I thoug...

The tests have 50 questions and you have 90 minutes to finish the test.
I guess that is good time. haha
Oh well, only one way to find out. haha

Welding classes.
So, I dig learning. Actually, since having a brain injury in 03, I always wondered if I could still learn. I taught myself to sew, sing and weld. So, I was happy to find I could. However, I did those things on my own time. It has been like 17 years since I was in school. I was thinking of taking cla...

Re: No luck
Yea, I knew that was going to happen. But, as I put it in a few days ago, I totally forgot about it. Everything with the mig, is I get something and it is broken or the wrong thing and it takes even more time to fix it. haha Oh well, thank you for the information. I will just try again. Also, I set ...

No luck
So, I can not mig weld. Every time I go to do so, another problem comes up. I was getting a bundle of wire in the suitcase. I thought the liner was to big. It was 0.45-1/16. The wire I was using was 0.35 flux core. I ordered the right liner. They sent me the wrong one. I ordered another. It arrived....

Re: Bobcat 250 and Suitcase x treme 12vs.
I found the reason I even had that idea in my head. This is on a site I was looking at. "Do you have the 12VS connected to the negative terminal (Ground) of the Bobcat? Your work clamp will come off the positive terminal. That's the way I use it on my Trailblazer." It made no sense to me. ...

Re: Bobcat 250 and Suitcase x treme 12vs.
So, I finally got it to come on. But, it didn't work that well. It kind of spattered. I read someone telling someone else, to change the connection and hook the ground to the positive. I mean, the electrode part. I am so worn out today. I wrote those down and drew this picture. No clue if it is corr...

Re: Bobcat 250 and Suitcase x treme 12vs.
haha, yes I did. Still, nothing. The thing just would not power on. I got the parts in the manual, just for mig. I printed them out. I shall bring them out with me tomorrow. I should not have tried today. Thursdays are my cooking day. I had no time. I decided to pick a state or country, find the top...

Re: Bobcat 250 and Suitcase x treme 12vs.
I will get a picture tomorrow. I saw the setup, when using gas. I don't see a voltage sensing thing. haha Just the ground clamp and the other cable. I am trying flux core. I put the gun into the outlet. Then, I hooked my ground thing into the ground part of the Bobcat. I was not trying to weld. Just...

Bobcat 250 and Suitcase x treme 12vs.
I hooked my Suitcase to my Bobcat 250. The Suitcase would not power on. It is new. I got a 5 foot cable, to allow me room to sit the Suitcase down, after it is hooked to the Bobcat. Any idea on why the thing will not turn on? I have never used a Suitcase before. But I thought, you hook it up, it com...

What to do?
I got a Miller Suitcase x treme 12 vs. It comes with a Bernard BTB 300 amp gun. I asked miller what was the smallest wire I could use. I would also need the liner things. They said the smallest they have is 0.35. So I wonder, does that mean that another company has smaller wire for that gun, or is i...

Hello
So, after some problems, haha, I finally got my Suitcase X treme 12 VS. I have a Bobcat 250 to power the thing. I wanted a millermatic 252. Miller said the two would not work. It's cool, the smaller item saves me space. I have decided, while the Bobcat is rather new and still under warranty, that I ...

haha, well, inside, the gun was broken. The thing did hold tight inside of another piece. So, I will just keep it.
It does not look right to me. But, if it fits, it fits.

Re: Getting a mig welder.
Well, once again, Miller and Cyberweld have said they are fine. If I want to return it, I have to pay for the shipping, because it is open. What a load a crap. So, I get a damaged product and they make it seem as if it is my fault. How the hell would I know it is damaged, if I did not open it? Mille...

Here are new picture I took, to send to Miller and Cyberweld. Now, look at these and tell me the thing isn't broken. There is no way this will work.
