Re: Multi-Process welder, multi-gas question

I have a setup with with an argon bottle and a CO2 bottle that join with a wye so that I can quickly switch from my MIG machine over to my TIG with a quick connect fitting. When running the MIG I can flow AR and CO2 in various (if somewhat imperfect) mixes. I have a check valve in the line between ...

Re: Multi-Process welder, multi-gas question

My 2 cents - Yes, if you use a Y fitting, with shutoff valves on both inputs. You will have to purge when switching functions. I do the same thing with my Everlast, except I use Quick disconnect fittings between air, argon, and C25 Thanks - would you mind sharing a link to a suitable style of quick...

Multi-Process welder, multi-gas question

Ok, Here goes my dumb question of the week. I have a multi-process welder (Everlast) that I have been using for MIG+Stick for a while now, but am just getting around to trying out TIG. I have Argon tank and flowmeter already. my question is - can you connect both gas sources via a "Y" and ...

Re: beginner TIG items

Hi bap, thanks so much for the info. I do have a 125CFG 100% Argon cylinder filled. I do have a long backcap I think the TIG-style gloves I have are Tillman - so maybe those are kind of low quality, however they fit well and I can fell things well when wearing them I have an Argon flowmeter - guessi...

beginner TIG items

Hi, I have been hobby MIG (also stick, flux core) welding for a bit now (three-four years) and do a ....hmmm. decent job for what I do/need :) I have an Everlast 211MP - and have yet to attempt any TIG welding, but want to get started. I do not have any tungsten, just a few random parts such as a #5...

Post #1 at this link... http://weldingweb.com/showthread.php?101951-Gas-Kit-for-Hobart-AutoArc-130 ...references Model# 770717. Re: question about gas kit for Hobart Auto Arc 130

Welcome to the forum! I googled and saw a lot of references saying the Hobart is a rebranded Miller. During those google travels i found a hobart part number for a gas kit; when i followed that path it lead me to the Northern Tool website and said that exact part is out of stock. It gave a little p...

question about gas kit for Hobart Auto Arc 130

Hi all, I have a Hobart Auto Arc 130, which I THINK is a re-branded MillerMatic 130 ? If so, I was pretty sure I had previously found a Gas Kit for it - for the Millermatic which is supposed to work on the Hobart as well.. but, I cannot find it now despite hours of googling. Can anyone point me to t...
