Welcome, TJ, I began completely self-taught. There was no internet to reference, and my local library was too small to have any books on the subject. I continued to combine self-teaching with observing others for many years. I've still never taken a class, but I reached a "tipping point" ...

Retired fabricator/welder

Welder fabricator retired after 45 years. Worked at multiple companies and finally retired from my own very small business. Do a lot of piddling and sell some stuff on ETSY.
