i use Klingspor and have for years they don't powder and work great hope this helps

HI everyone I'm a rig welder in Alberta Canada I weld and build gas plants and piping systems for gas and oil production. It's cool to find a forum that is about every process not just mig lol.

To Me it looks like you didn't prep the pipe properly before you started. When I do a pressure weld I take all the mill scale off inside and out so I don't drag the scale into the weld. Are you purging the inside??
