General welding questions that dont fit in TIG, MIG, Stick, or Certification etc.
I'm looking for suggestions on a torch that can get into a tight area. I'm trying to weld overhead in a space of roughly 7/8 wide. Its an aluminum collar that's about an inch thick to 3/16 thick tube. I have a micro torch buts its too big plus it wouldn't be able to handle the amperage. This part was previously welded so I'm doing a repair. Any suggestions?
A long nosed #4/5 cup with a 1/8” tungsten would be my choice.
