Which is the most difficult material to weld and why ?

Cast iron
If not done right it will crack
Today there rods that reduce cracking

Thin cast aluminum, i.e. oil pans, tend to crack worse, than cast iron, if not put in an oven to cool slowly. Not to mention the contamination of oil.

Unobtanium is probably the worst - many new vehicle & equipment parts seem to be made of it so the price of replacement spares is so high you end up buying new - plus I never seen filler rod available for it - ( am hoping given maybe 10 years or so the UK may even get some 4943 ! )

Any idea if Unobtainum can be welded? Of course you have to go to Pandora to get it.
