Hey guys,
I’m looking to pick up an angled head die grinder, to use in place of a 4.5” angle grinder w/flap disc.
Can anyone say what type disc/wheel do I need to get to do the same job as 4.5” grinder w/flap disc?
I.E. grinding plasma or torch cut edges in tight spaces.

Will the 2-3” sanding discs that I see in all the little die grinder accessorie kits do the job?

Thanks, Colby

Yes. The 2-3" roloc disks will do the job.

You will need to get a backup pad for those discs like the links below. I dish out and by the 3M ones, but there are cheaper ones out there, but your mileage may vary.

Remember that die grinder rpms are way faster so get the correct disks rated to those rpms.

The 3M bristle disks are excellent for coating removal, paint, rust and milk scale without loading up and smearing. They look like overpriced cheap plastic brushes but they work really well. Kinda pricy tho.
