Hello all, just discovered that there is a hood that's call a pancake hood that might work for me. sometimes when I'm welding, I get back light into my hood. my only question is how do I determine whether I need a right or left side shield. Thanks
If you lay on your right side to weld you need to protect the top (left side) of your face. If you lay on your left side you need to protect the right side of your face. Lots of job sites don’t allow pancake hoods. They don’t cover enough of your head. Also they will only increase your issues with light shining on the back of your lenses.
I have more questions than answers
