I have been buying lincoln mp-211 wire from home depot in 10lbs spools of. 035 wire and if there is anything cheaper or better anywhere???? What do you guys use and how much do u spend ?? I have been checking out wire on ebay but not sure of the quality or even worth trying...

I have been checking HTP wire and blue demon but I don't want to spend alot of money on flux core and not like it ...

At various times I have bought flux core wire "on special" from all sorts of hardware stores and welding and tool shops. The various brands and types do weld differently, and some of the "specials" that have limited positions are very challenging in overhead welding (almost drip off the steel, leaving gaping holes to fill). But with a bit of effort, I have been able to use every one that I have bought.
My local welding shop has put me on to Liquid Arc, and, if I make sure I get the "all positions" wire, I am very happy with it, but it is no cheaper than other brands.
The two things I watch for are 1) all position, and 2) limited multi-pass.
Single pass wires work well, but I just worry that sometimes I need to "correct" a few things, and what might occur if the wire is clearly not for multi-pass.

Best place I can find to buy my mig stuff is HTP weld great company, good solid mig wire 2 10 lb spools of wire for $35.00
great prices on wire , 10 lb roll of flux cored .035 wire is $48 and free shipping even to AK and really fast shipping to . So try buying a roll of wire from HTP and see if you like it .Used to buy wire at Sears for my good ole Weld Pak HD ,2lb roll forney for $15.99 I ran so much of that stuff but than I started running 10 lb HTP rolls sure saved me a bunch of money .But now all I run is bare wire mig , just cause . good luck John

i run 10 lb spools nr 211 through my 110 mig. i was just using it last nite at the job welding anchor lugs on beds. no gas tank makes the machine very portable but it's still a b!tch carrying up the stairs.
