Well,
Since Bill has sold his welders, I guess we can hi-jack this thread.
Had a AC225, that had been sitting in my Grandpas shop for over 30years. sold it for $175 with 10lbs of 6011....
Next, I bought a Lincoln weld-pack HD, for $200, used it for several years, about 50lbs of .035 Forney wire, sold it for $175.
Next, I bought a Hobart Champion Gas Driven 250amp welder, for $300, I Kept the "brand new" 50ft leads, and sold for $450.
Next, I got a "free" Airco ucc305 welder, dripping with leads. kept the leads sold it for $100.
Next, I bought a Invertec V275-S, "new" for $1000, Added a couple things, and got $1900..., smiled all the way to the bank.
Next, well, I'll tell you tomorrow.
Kinda tired,
~John

I've got a few I haven't been using, but didn't think anyone would likely be interested, I tried to sell a big old Hobart industrial AC machine 100% duty, 90 amp primary. I couldn't get $100 so I scrapped it. I have two twentieth Century 1974 stick machines, one AC only in nice condition, and an AC/DC I used until I bought a Bobcat a few months ago. It doesn't look very good. The heat knob is gone replaced with off brand vice grips. The case is rusty. I also have an old Marquette spot welder I think works, but I have never seen a good weld.
I'm a good candidate for an upcoming episode of American pickers. That's my inventory of unused welders, but heavy wood and metal working machines, I got. Choose from 3 heavy wood planers, a metal lathe big enough to build cannon for The Black Pearl! Band saws ranging from 3' wheels to a 12" home built during rationing of WW2. I've weeded out drill presses, all I would sell is a big wall mounted unit C 1860 originally run from a line shaft now electric. If it's old I got it!

I haven't heard from Tuscany. I expect the Dialarc is in Ohio by now. I think he's got some digging to do before he uses it. I understand he's TIGged before, so there won't be a big learning curve.
I got notice the Dynasty left NJ en route for VT. Maybe tomorrow.

280DX is here If I ever figure out the menu I'll love it. I can't get it to remote control when I try to set wave shape. The menu gives 4 choices of remote control, but jumps out of remote.

Well Johnathan,
I remembered what other machines I have had.
I had an Everlast power arc 160sth.
I ain't telling what I paid for it, or what I sold it for. Just saying I've had an Everlast welder.
Then,
I bought an Lincoln Square Wave 175. Nicest machine.
With bottle, leads, cart, everything, for $900.
Sold it for $2000 the next week.
I think there's been a couple more but, my memories going.
And still on the look-out for more!!!

I thought you said in another post to Steve, that you had a extremely good memory
You have really inspired me to look for deals on machines and flip them. Although I have always wanted to collect the older ones. Maybe someday I will have a yard full of SA-200's like FieldRes
By the way, he came back to his channel.

Yeah, He came back.
Some good ones too.
I find that this welder buying and selling is a great "hobby"....
For example, you buy a welder for $500, it came with a tig torch and regulator.... you put that bottle that you got off another sale in with it, maybe build a cart to go with it. etc.
You come out ahead.
One time I had six machines for sale at once.
Sold them all that week.
Buy something cheap sell it for more.
I have another welder that I bought and sold, but I'll tell you later.
Great stuff.
As to my memory going, sometimes I look all over my shop for 10 mins looking for wrench I set somewhere. then I find it, right where I left it.
Who knows....

Guys, I am moving this topic over to the "General Shop Talk" area as it no longer has anything "For Sale". It has turned into a shoot the breeze with 4 pages and 40 replies and does not belong in the classifieds.
Go break something, then you can weld it back the right way.
