Fingers crossed! Was this a barn find, or auction score?

Craigs list believe it or not. But the situation was the guy had no pedals, torches or leads, so he wouldn't demo them. but I got them for a smoking deal, so here's hoping.

Nice! You should be able to make one good welder out of those.

They're bullet proof, unlike some of our members. I'm a bit jealous.

Isn't that just cool!

Man I love exciting deals like that. I prefer that I'm the one making the deal, but still... :D

My sense of humor doesn't know "awkward", and if you and Sam have a sense of humor like mine, I'm in!

Humor has always been my defense against... well, pretty much every adversity I've ever faced. Laughter soothes minds and hearts.

Beware, though. If it's open season on "shoot yourself in the foot" jokes, I've got a leg up on you. (Well, one of you... :o ).

I've got to find a pic of the trophy James Watt received during the Reagan administration.

Too much?

What did this trophy look like?

turns out they both work to varying extents. One machine works great, the other works but seems to be stuck on max amps. I have to get my hands on the tech manual and trouble shoot it. Worst case it is a control board, which is $280K. even with ordering new SSC pedals and if I have to order the control board, I am still in it less than the going rate for one syncrowave. I call that a win! Now I have to fix it up and try to unload one of these on CL.

@ WerkSpace,

Yes, that's the trophy I remembered!

@ Louie1961,

Sorry for the hijack. Sound like you have a great deal on your hands. Keep us updated as you spend to get them functioning.

Louie1961,
Wow, me thinks you not have such a good deal. A new board at $280K is a little pricy. That's more than I will make this year. Come to think if it in the next several years. ;)

I was beginning to wonder. They say the old machines run the best and last the longest now I know why, their boards are made of unobtanium.

I hadn't thought of that, but probably so.

He may not care, though, so I won't push it.
