Indeed, Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Blessed Kwanzaa, to all who celebrate each!
And for you overly politically correct folk (you know who you are), I wish you an unoffensive politically correct non-denominational "Happy Holiday!"

LOL!
I meant no one in particular. I was just covering my ass with the PC crowd that won't risk offending anyone for any reason.

I, on the other hand, will happily offend anyone, without reason.
I'm just being kind on the "holiday"...

Merry Christmas to a great bunch of guys and a great wealth of knowledge!
Sent from an earthen ditch outside Needles, CA using an awful lot of low voltage single strand wire.
It's a matter of flour and water and then there's the seasonings, which is a matter of salt and so forth and then you h-we interrupt this for the announc

I got a very unusual gift this year. It doesn't look like much, but it has potential.
I've attached the before and 'after' pictures, along with a youtube clip of what it should do.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feoiwE05vpA I really needed another project.

Okay, now a BD-5 is quite the Christmas present.
Was she asking for more life insurance on you this year?

Technically, it's still a pile of aluminum parts. I know the history of the BD5 and many pilots died in them.
With a stall speed of 85mph and top speed of 300mph, I can see where there's a lot of room for error.
A sudden engine failure and then trying to maintain 85mph to keep the plane flying would be a challenge.
The aircraft plans were more important to me than anything.
This aircraft has a lot in common with the LiteStar Pulse motorcycle.

The BD5-A version has a 17ft wingspan, while the B version had a 21.5ft wingspan.
The wings are removable and can be installed within 15 minutes.
Why not a larger sailplane wingspan? This afterall, is an experimental aircraft.
I'm really not sure what to do with this project, but I have lots of ideas.
