This isn't really a question about welding itself, more about the support supplies that go with it. Maybe there's an answer,or maybe i'll never find out why.

Why do the makers of anti-spatter spray always put their product in the cheapest, crappiest spray cans that they can find? I've been mig welding for 23 years and I have NEVER run out of anti-spatter spray before something goes wrong with the spray can and I have to throw out half a can and get a new one for the process to start all over again. Just this morning another one leaked out all over my tig. It's always one of 3 things or a combination of these 3 things....

After 2- 10 uses the spray valve snaps off where you can't fix or replace it....
The spray valve gets stuck in the open position just enough that you don't notice it and it all leaks out overnight...
The seams on the can leak through a little tiny pinhole....

Every can that I've ever bought over the years, no matter who's name was on the can, has broken or leaked out. Is there an answer? Probably not other than the spray makers are a bunch of cheapasses and I'm just a complainer.

They are a bunch of cheapasses. Try buying the kind you mix yourself and get some plastic spraybottles. They last.

Hi,
We get it in 20 liter (not sure of the gallons) plastic drums, already mixed. The spray bottles we had kept stuffing up so i got some ones designed for cleaning products. They were nice and cheap but worked really well. Made by the Canyon corp.
Sometimes, the spray gets a bit thick i just mix in a little more water.
Mick.
