I've used an aerosol gel heat-block spray, but I haven't done a real comparison to tell you if it had any effect short of costing money.

Well you just have to learn to read the label first.

It absorbs heat...kinda like a chunk of AL or copper. Nice to have if your welding near something that can be ruined by heat like a grommet or packing gland etc.... That's the abbreviated version.

Well, if he's using Microsoft IE I suggest that you first go into InPrivate Browsing mode so there won't be a history of visited websites...er um at least I think I read that somewhere, on the internet, maybe.
