I have a friend who is having tattoos removed. The laser feels like intense bacon grease spattering on your skin...

I had one lightened for cover up by laser and your friend is right. Smells like pork wrapped in burnt hair. Hurts 10 times worse than the tattoo.

I have a fair amount, both sleeves, leg, chest and both hands and knuckles. Most of them I got while in the Army and I've never let what someone else thought prevent me from getting anything. At the time I figured that would be my career but after 8 years I moved on and started as a welder. I've been lucky that in the civilian world I've never been discriminated against for my tattoos.

I'm not nieve though I'm aware there are some jobs that I wouldn't be considered for based on my appearance, though I can't see myself sitting at an office desk all day anyway and it doesn't bother me. If someone chooses not to hire me because of my ink instead of my experience that's their choice.

I have no problem hiring a guy covered in tattoos as long as he is capable.
