Can anyone lead me to any great resources, specifically books, that can help me learn more about metallurgy. I have recently been interested in the manufacturing of steel and what goes into it and I feel like it will help my understanding of welding better.

There's a really good one, the name is right on the tip of my tongue. I just can't think of it at the moment...

Actually, the text book I have from school is Welding Skills by B.J. Moniz and R.T. Miller. from American Technical Publishers.ISBN# 978-0-8269-2992-1. It addresses the metallurgy of welding a good bit. The catch is that it cost $120.00 new, but you could probably find one for much less.

And

It's still not as highly recommended as that other one.

You know since all of you are so insistent on me getting the book you all should just send me a copy to make sure I get it. 8-) What was the name of it again. I seem to have forgotten. :D
