Hi guys, I have been following Jodies videos for a couple of years. I have a question, can I use a tig welder as the heat source to silver solder copper? The copper has been silver soldered with gas and I need to reflow some spots. Thought of using a tig instead of reheating the whole part with gas. Any input would be appreciated.

You could, but it'll be way easier to just do it with a torch.

I’ve done it to patch old steam coils. Where the copper was worn paper thin and wouldn’t hold up to oxygen & acetylene. I used a thumb control for amps.
I have more questions than answers
