Looking at getting a "home gamer" welder.

Somehow half of my message didn't make it through...


I'm comfortable wiring a detached garage/subpanel... but this bit from the manual has me a bit stumped... 20 amp outlet on a 30 amp breaker.... on a 120v unit....

Is this safe?

Any guidance or commentary is appreciated.

there is a derating table in the electrical code for welders.
