So, I have a Bobcat 250. It has, maybe 30 hours use.
I’ve not really used it this year. I hurt my back lifting something.
I went to let it run yesterday.
It says the gas is full. Yet, when I look at the tank, I see nothing in it from the side.
But, I went to turn it on and had no luck.
First, it made a small sound. Then nothing.
My mom thought it could be the battery. That does make sense. But, I just thought I would ask on here.
Wouldn’t you know, the warranty ended in June or July. Haha
General welding questions that dont fit in TIG, MIG, Stick, or Certification etc.

After the machine sitting that long, I would venture to guess that the battery is pretty weak. Remove cables and clean the connections. Charge it back up. The gasoline , if any is left, is probably junk. Drain the tank and fuel bowl on the system (IF it has a drain) and replace the gasoline and add some type of carb cleaner. I use SEAFOAM and have great luck with it. IF you can, find yourself some non ethanol gasoline. Keep us posted.

I have a bobcat 250 as well, my fuel gauge shows 3/4 full all the time. I only use the side gauge. I don’t use it enough to bother fixing the gauge.
If I have it sit for more than a month the battery will be dead. Throw a charger on it or boost it with my truck, let it run for a bit and it’s good to go

Just an fyi, some welders can get damaged by jump starting.
As a result, charging the battery, then starting it, is a better practice.
