Good evening everyone. Topic concerns fabricating furniture for the man caves. Material would include 11ga A36 tubing. After the finish work (sanding/polishing) is completed what does everyone use to protect the steel from spills, moisture marks from fingerprints, etc.? Car wax, some type of light oil?

Thanks

I've used Johnson's paste wax, car wax (not as nice a finish in my opinion), also have blackened and then waxed or clear coated. I've also colored with heat to bring out color and then clear coated. As always, pre-clean with acetone before waxing or clear coating.

That reminds me I’ve used Minwax furniture paste wax too.
