Welding Tips and Tricks

In October, I got a new landlord at my old shop, and he informed me that the rent was going up by $700 per month effective the first of Feb.
I told him that I wouldn't be staying at that rate, and started looking for a new place to rent.
I found a place for only $350 more per month, in a place that is 8 miles further from my house. I don't care for the longer drive, but I think this location might have better opportunities.
I allowed myself a week to make the move, and it only took 10 days! So much for planning. The weather, and lack of help, was part of the problem. Having too much stuff, was the main problem.
So, as of Monday evening, everything is moved into the new shop. Two days later, I still don't have room to get a customer's truck in the shop.

Does anybody see my small external circlip pliars?
I spent a few hours searching for them this evening, with no luck. Maybe it will go better in the daytime.

Sorry to hear that - moving sucks for sure.

I'm still moving my shop to the new location almost 2hrs south.

...but I still don't have walls yet...pretty breezy
The entire right hand wall is also missing. Left hand wall is missing a 14' door.
Running the bobcat 225nt "indoors" is no problem
A little tractor welding at -2 deg F.

Moving really does suck - I feel for anyone having to move ( especially not of their own choice ) I been at it for weeks & still got stuff left - can't believe the amount I had & it's all heavy ! had some help but still trying to get hold of a crane lorry to move 2 lathes - 2 mills a drill & a shaper ! not been a good year with in & out of hospital & some time looking after Mum who's also been unwell.

Definitely feel for you. My wife took over 2/3 of my shop for "storage" for the winter until I get her a "she shed" and IF things don't change, I can do the same commercial as Cheryl.....OR, there's gonna be one helluva yard FIRE.

Well, I got enough stuff arranged to make room for the customer's truck. Still no luck on the pliars, but I will keep looking.
Yes, finding things that I haven't seen in years. A number of items are becoming 'free to a good home'. Others, are headed for the trash.
I saw the photos from Dave, and was thankful to not be dealing with the snow. Today it turned bitter cold, and snowed! Still not as bad as Minnesota.
I should finish the truck tomorrow, then back to sorting and organizing. Hoping to get the welders wired up early this week.

No luck on wiring up the welders yet, but I did find my external circlip pliars. They were in the red box that got put in the office. My whole collection of snap ring pliars were in the same box.
No idea why a box of tools, and various chemicals, would be put on an office desk. I must have been half asleep!
Now, what did I need those pliars for?

Richard, the cleanup is in progress. I took 980 lbs of steel to recycling today. It is a start...

I got $38 for the steel, and a bit of aluminum. They said prices have dropped since this virus thing got bad. I can remember getting 10 or 11 cents per lb some ten years ago.
I should spend some time hiking around the yard. I can buy steel from them at $.15 per pound. I'm going to need a bunch of square and rectangular tubing to build some stands.
