I just got a sa-250 perkins diesel welder and the 230 volt plug is only 13 amps. I cant seem to put my finger on where this kind of small amperage capacity would be useful. The 110 volt could be used for all kinds if hand tools, but the 230 volt plug seems useless for compressor, small plasma, or other tools that I use the 230 volt in my shop. Is there tools that you have run off this small 230 volt plug or am I missing the whole point that pipeliners used this accessory plug for specialty tools.
