High Pressure Cylinder Hose

Hello folks. I have an interesting situation that none of the welding shops around me can answer.
I’ve added a Tig welder to my current Mig table setup. All was well until i realized That the space for the Argon tank is about a 1/4” too short. I’m using the ball bearing type regulator. So to fix this i found a 24” high pressure hose (3600 psi) Rated for Argon, CO2 etc. that i can run between the cylinder and the regulator safely under the table top. The tank when fresh filled is usually no more than 2000 psi.
I have separated the brass 1/4” npt from the cylinder side of the regulator and will insert the HP hose between that and the inlet side of the regulator. Just want know if its safe or any other foreseeable problems before i find out the hard way.
Sorry for the long post.
