I know I am pushing my 17 CK torch a little bit by running 185amps (not full duty cycle). However I am surprised to see the 3/32 Collett look like it took so much abuse. Am I pushing it way too hard or are these just consumable?

That kind of amps I’d bump up to 1/8. The torch will handle it for a bit, but when you start to cook collets then your getting close to melting the torch. I’ve melted a few, next thing to go will be the threads on the torch body just before the torch gives out.

IN your pictures,,,,you have items going in different directions from the proper way. Is that just the way you laid them out or is it the way they are put together? Not being smart, but, I've seen some folks inadvertently put things together improperly and did get them together.
can you insert a picture of all the parts and the direction you put the torch together?
