Hi there,

There are calculations based on pipe wall thickness and diameter. Although they need to altered to suit your individual application. I googled the question and found a few answers. Try that.

Thanks for your input, needed to have someone else chime in, because I was told that I should be able to fit and weld 10, 8" sck 80 in the field. Now keep in mind that I'm also hanging the pipe 40 to 50 feet up. Still sound like I should be able to do so?

Hi there,

Sounds like you have really got your work cut out for you. If they are putting pressure on you, make sure to have good communication with the bosses. If they are smart they will realise we all work at at our own pace and the quality if far more important than the quantity. I do not work in a high volume environment, but i know for a fact that there is absolutely no point in tear assing around all day if you or someone else has to fix a lot of f@ckups. The more you do a job the better you will get at it anyway.

I hope this sounds reasonable.
