Start a weekend hustle.

I live in Mobile, AL. I have been welding for roughly 8 years, mostly pipe
welding. I have also been a CWI for the past two years. I am wanting to start a
small welding business on my three day weekends and have a few questions. All I
have now is one good stick/tig machine and all my tools. I want to start out
real small and just turn all the money back into equipment so I can start doing
mig and aluminum. What licenses, certs, insurances do I need or how do I find
this out? Also do i have to have welding procedures when its a small business? I
always thought that was for the bigger mainstream hustles. I know theres alot of
Billy Bobs Welding out there that have no legitimate structure, but i just want
to know the bare minimum i need to safely work, till i get some money and
business built up so i can start doin all the real insurance and licence stuff.
It's just me, and I have no start up money. I work in QC at a plant and get no
overtime, and my wife is a stay at home mom for our 3 mo old son. This is the
reason I came off the roads and also the reason I need the extra income from
starting a small business. I don't "do" lawns, I'm a metal type of guy. So any
insight, advice, or assistance whatsoever will be greatly appreciated. If I
could just do a couple little odd jobs on the weekends it would make everything
worth while. Thanks in advance.
