BOOTS!

I need new boots already!
I got a pair of Wolverine boots for 70 bucks about half a year ago and they are dying fast and killing my feet at the same time.

I am looking at these:

anybody have any experience with them? I've read only one bad review about them online, and dozens of good. I just want to know if anybody on here (I trust you guys) has tried them.
I'm in the market for new boots. Anyone have any good experiences? Bad ones?
I'm looking for a high boot, steel or composite toe. I want them to be waterproof and death-proof, and my budget is 200 and under. I'm gonna get fancy insoles and kevlar laces too. 8-)

I'm a Wolverine fan, but I spent $160 on my last pair. Waterproof (still, after a year, without treatment) and electrical hazard rated. Steel-toe. I spent $85 on my previous pair of Wolverines, and was dissatisfied with the comfort in less than a year.

I wish I had saved the numerous posts I've seen on boot reviews to share.

Chippewa comes to mind; I seem to remember several folk (on another forum) praising them as "broke-in comfortable" right out of the box.

I do not recommend RedWing, as since their manufacturing has gone overseas, they get bad reviews on both comfort and durability.

Justin makes a very comfortable work boot, but you're buying the name like with Carharts (sp?), and the last pair I owned, I set the sole on fire with hot slag during a cut, and it DID NOT self-extinguish.

We probably got the dud cheapies. The soles on mine wore out faster than any shoes I've ever had.And they're coming off, and the seams are torn.

The steel toes have held up alright, but that's the only part that has.

Maybe so.

I've beat the hell out of my Wolverines for years, and the only pair I wasn't happy with for at least a year was the $80 ones. Maybe at that price I should have known they weren't designed for the abuse I give them.

My company buys everyone a new pair every year. They seem to last forever.
