Sounds interesting! Make sure you put up the pictures.
What size is the pipe? I think it could be done, but would be easy to kink.

I could get it in .035 or .063 I am guessing but my brother says 20 ft lengths are hard to hide in his truck, I imagine it would bend easier but all fall sch 10 is easier to get for free

EDIT: if it looks good enough for it to stay on my mower it will show up here, I know its an MTD but I made it mine

It depends a bit on how tight a radius your after - I've bent it using a good hand bender intended for steam pipe - as long as the outside former & die fit well the bends are acceptable - leaves some slight out of round - but no ripples or kinks - lube helps - if it's a complex multi bend you maybe better off buying bends & cutting / welding them together as needed .

If the material's free, why not give it a shot?

Sch. 10 is a pretty heavy wall for tight bends, and is probably 300 series. I don't recall seeing 400-series in pipe schedules, and 400s bend much better (and are tube sizes, available in thin walls).

I look forward to your results, and what works best.

I believe it is 316 but cant confirm, pretty sure I am going to need a back purge for it...do it all, or don't do it at all,, right?
