CLASSIC 300D electrical question

I have another question on my welder. Classic 300D. It's not the welder that I need help but the volts it puts out. As I have recently moved to Australia I needed Aus outlets while out on site. I had an electrician instal an outlet on it. The max that say is 230v with a 10% fluctuation safe zone which will make it 240 at a safe volts. I tested it and it's coming out with 268v even when I put a load on it(grinder). I am wondering if I can somehow turn the volts down on it? Thanks for the help

It may be yours is completely different - but we had a Ranger 305d which went over voltage - turned out to be as simple as the break in period on the Kubota engine is several hundred hours after which the maximum revs went up - 1st time I'd tested the output & both volts & revs were up higher normal - adjusted the maximum revs & the voltage settled itself - may be worth a look at this first.
