Wire From Breaker Box Will this Work?

Just Ordered some romex type 6/2 wire for the Breaker Box to Receptacle.
The 6/2 Is as follows~ (2) 6 ga. hot wires and an Uninsulated 10 Ga. ground.
Will this work???
More info is as follows app is newer pole building out of the elements, 12 ft run
use is for a hobart 210 mvp mig

Yes, that will work just fine, good for at least 55 amps or more depending on wire type... At least according to the app I have.

On 220/240 vac there is no neutral and the ground is just for safety. It is not designed to carry working current. On 120 the neutral is the center tap and the 220/240 transformer secondary winding, splitting the voltage in half.

TX is right. I back up completely what he said.
The ground, in this application, is not part of the electrical circuit. It's a path for faults. It's only use for current in your application will be for support circuits drawing in the milliamp range. 6/2 w/ground in a twelve-foot run should support up to a 60A circuit (depending on the feed wire to, and rating of, the remote box the circuit draws from).
