Yes, there are many benefits. You must weigh the cost against what you intend to use it for. I've been bugging my employer for advanced features for years, but since I pass my x-rays and all other NDT/NDE with basic equipment, it's a hard sell.

What do you intend to do that these features will help with, and how, exactly, do you think they will help?

More amps more important than more controls
