Greetings everyone. I got my 210MP hooked up and spent an hour or so just experimenting with settings and running test beads etc. It welds beautifully with 100% CO2 and 030 ER70S6 wire. I found that I could get a fair ways from the recommended parameters and it would still weld fairly well. I haven't had a chance to see how it stick welds since I burned all my stick rod some time ago. So far I have found nothing not to like. I'll keep y'all posted.
Cheers.

Today i welded some really thin crappy metal on a sculpture I'm building and decided to trim the nozzle to get a shorter stickout as the tip was recessed slightly. Seemed to help. Also ran a half dozen 1/8" 7018 rods at 120 amps. It seemed to burn a little hotter than I usually get at 120 on other machines. Still nothing not to like that I have found.

My dad wanted a cactus for a trailer hitch ornament. I just finished this (except for the green paint), purposely running my machine way on the cold side with a fast travel speed. So-so cold beads look remarkably cacti-like
This Lincoln didn't miss a beat and ran quite nicely way outside its recommended parameters.
Cheers.

Eldon, I'm going to speculate here,
I'd not have thought of that, but now that I've seen it, I have to try to imagine how it was done.
My first guess is a set of pipe nipples, tees, and ells to make a basic shape, then the cold stringers to dress the outer surface.
Am I close?

No pipe fittings. Just old pieces of pipe. Cut pie wedges with cut off wheel and bent them. slotted the tops with the same wheel and beat with a hammer until rounded ish.
Painted a light green, let it dry the painted a darker green which I immediately wiped off with a cloth leaving the darker stuff only in the bottoms of the crevices. Finished off with matte clear.
Cheers.

I like it. In one instant it seems like more work, but in the next it sounds like you can do it with what's on hand, rather than searching junk fittings.
