Hello everyone< i just purchased a hobart 190 with spool gun to weld aluminum (i have not recieved it yet). My question do i have to change polarity to go from fluxcore to aluminum wire with 100% argon.

It depends upon which polarity you are running with your FCAW setup.

GMAW Aluminum is run on DCRP in all cases in which I have welded it.

For clarification, "DCRP" is electrode (spool gun) on the positive terminal.

It will tell you right on the door of the welder what polarity to run....
