ANZAC Day - Off topic, but important

Many people through many parts of the world quite understandably don't place the same significance, but ANZAC Day is one of Australia and New Zealand's most important national commemorative occasions.
This year marks the centenary anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War (1914-1918).
ANZAC is an abbreviation of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.
April 25, 1915, was the day the ANZACs landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula, now known as ANZAC Cove, to battle the Turkish army during WWI.
They were far, far from home.
More than 11,000 ANZACs died on the Gallipoli Peninsula, despite only being there for 8 months. Most were boys and young men, barely out of school.
Saturday commemorates 100 years since the battle began, and these young lives were so tragically lost.
The world is a much better place without conflict.
Lest we forget.
