Welding Tips and Tricks

Im about to buy a Speedglas 9100xx FX adflo system, but there is a chap here in uk selling them about 1/4 price less then mainstream traders, my question is they have just release the "new" adflo system which has lithium batterys but my question is have they made any changes to the fan part itself? Or is it just the same with new batterys?

The chap is saying its the new one but cant confirm part numbers, bit issue is that you can just change the cover from the old silver to black cheaply so it could be old unit.

Also buying it off ebay no warranty...

Should i just pay through the nose and get from trader? Best part of £400 more..

From images I can see the old part number was 83 20 00 can anyone tell me if the newer unit is identical?

Maybe try contacting the manufacture for reliable information?

Can do but last time i called 3m they where less then helpful in the uk.

3m website is super confusing. See if you can find anything from Hornell, the company that used to make speed glass. Maybe the Sweden or wherever they are may

If you can wait a couple of days, I will check mine which is the new type with the Li-Ion battery and let you know.
