In Jody's latest video he is seen using a combination square with a real big flat surface allowing it to stand on it's own..................where can I get one of these???

Is it this one from Harbor Freight (or similar)? They are on sale for $1.99. I bought several when they were on a special sale at 99 cents.

I watched the video when it came out but don't remember the details about the square.

Can you post a link to the video? I don't susbscribe, and I should, but I tend to pick and choose the ones that apply best to what I'm doing at the time.

That's a FAT combination square.

I've not seen that, and I have Starrett for my layout tools.

i saw that two inch "la square" combination square on a video and bought one because i work with a lot of 2" square tubing. the extra width on the head comes in very handy when you're working by yourself. i clamp it to one of the pieces i'm working with a vise grip which leaves both hands free to to fit. i found the tightening nut very stiff and hard to adjust but maybe it will loosen with use. i found the shipping costs excessive to put it mildly.
